Welcome to Grayton Beach

A beach neighborhood built around good, free-spirited fun.

Keep It Real

One of the area's oldest, funkiest beach neighborhoods.

Find Something Special

Laid-back and organic. All about authenticity.

Founded in the mid-1880s by Army Major Charles T. Gray, Grayton Beach is South Walton’s original beach neighborhood, known for its eclectic vibe, colorful personalities and laid back lifestyles.

Take home a piece of Grayton Beach by picking up a painting or sculpture from the Grayton Artist Collective; or, stop at a boutique like Petunia’s to browse a number of gifts and treasures. Escape from it all with a hike through Grayton Beach State Park — from here, the sight of sand dunes will leave you in awe.

At the end of the day, stroll along this beach neighborhood’s sugar-white sand and watch the sunset. Grab a memorable meal at favorites like Coast or Hurricane Oyster Bar & Grill, and then listen to some live music at Red Bar or Pandora’s.

“With an eclectic vibe, The Red Bar is the perfect spot for an afternoon beer from local brewery Grayton Beer Co., or to hit up when feeling a bit ‘Florida noir.’” – Hayley Phillips, The Local Palate
