3. Catch a live performance at the Seaside Repertory Theatre, Northwest Florida’s premier professional theatre company. This arts center is currently celebrating its tenth season and features evening performances most days of the week.

4. Get inspired by the many works on display at the Bayou Arts Center; then, discover your inner artist at one of this creative space’s pastel, watercolor, and multimedia arts classes. Stop by Fired Up! for family-friendly pottery painting classes, enjoy a one-on-one or group watercolor painting lesson, create a unique glass collage on canvas with instruction from Artist of the Year Mary Hong.

5. Curb any craving at one of the countless restaurants unique to South Walton. Foodie favorites include George’s at Alys Beach and Local Catch in Blue Mountain; upscale spots with a fantastic indoor space include the AAA Four Diamond-winning Seagar’s and Fish Out of Water. Or, take a seat at Basmati’s enclosed patio, where the sound of the rain makes a soothing soundtrack to your lunch or dinner date. 

6. Admire the extensive collection of hand-blown glass at Fusion Art Glass, located in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin as well as in Seaside. The one-of-a-kind jewelry, light fixtures, ornaments, and sculptures on display are wonderful to look at and available to purchase as a souvenir of your stay. 7. Treat yourself to something new at Silver Sands Premium Outlets, or something new-yet-old at one of Miramar Beach’s many antique stores. From clothing to electronics to home goods, South Walton’s shops have everything you’d need or want for your perfect beach vacation. 

8. Pamper yourself at one of South Walton’s many spas. From facials to massages to tanning services, the area’s skincare specialists are ready to make you relaxed and beach-ready.

9. Dive into a good book or pick up some new tunes at Sundog Books and Central Square Records, which are located right next to each other. The Hidden Lantern also hosts a collection of good reads for you to browse on a rainy day.

10. Head of to Seascape's new Towne Centre for food, fun and shopping.  Grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants such as Mezcal Mexian Grill or Acme Oyster House then head over to Thrills Laser Tag & Arcade for fun with the whole family. If you are feeling sweets, walk next door to Moo La-La Ice Cream & Fudge.

11. Take a ride on the Sunshine 30A Trolley, South Walton’s new way to get around town. Hop on board and enjoy free transport – rain or shine – to your favorite spots along Scenic Highway 30A. The 30A Trolley runs 7 days a week 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. all summer long through Labor Day.
