As our community continues to adapt in the wake of COVID-19, we’ve seen local businesses, residents and visitors who love South Walton step up to help those in need, whether it’s raising money to feed first responders or to help restaurant workers who’ve lost their jobs.

Save Florida Business Initiative
Support South Walton businesses during these uncertain economic times by purchasing a gift card through the “Save Florida Business Initiative.” This program directly connects consumers and their favorite businesses, providing a much-needed revenue boost during these tough times.
You’ll receive a $100 gift card for only $75, and all of the proceeds will go directly to the restaurants or small businesses. There is no limit to the number of gift cards you can purchase. Learn more by visiting Save Florida Business.
The Chapel at Seaside Accepting Donations
Due to the impacts of COVID-19 on the employees with Seaside, the Chapel at Seaside is collecting donations to support them. They have already raised more than $300,000, helping more than 250 workers and 30 businesses. Building off that momentum, they plan to raise an additional $300,000. The Walton County Clerk & Comptroller, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser and Supervisor of Elections Office's have partnered with the Matrix Community Outreach Center to raise money to fund past due utility payments for citizen's that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. Donate to Food for Thought
Food for Thought continues to feed children in need although schools are closed for in-person instruction. An easy way to give is to text GIVEFFT to 44321. Just $10 a week can help feed a family! To donate food, find out more HERE.
Donate to Caring and Sharing of South Walton
This non-profit organization continues to provide food and financial assistance to those in need in our area, as their numbers have more than doubled this month. You can give monetarily online HERE or drop of these needed items at the pantry: peanut butter, shampoo, toothpaste, feminine products, bar soap, canned chicken and tuna, cereal, rice, and pasta.
Sunday Supper Club
Sunday Supper Club was created to provide a little relief for the people in our community hit hardest by the COVID-19 crisis.
Each individual/ family will receive:
-$50 Gift Card to Walmart or Publix
- Family Style meal from a local restaurant
- A bag of food for their furbaby.

Sushimoto Supports Those in Need
During the COVID-19 public health emergency, many people in our community have lost their jobs or have otherwise been significantly affected financially. As a locally owned and operated business that has received love and support from our local community for many years, we are here to do our part. Cowgirl Hospitality Group Supports Restaurant Employees and First Responders
As a way of saying “thank you,” Cowgirl Hospitality Group wants to spread the love by offering a free meal to restaurant industry staff who are unemployed, as well as local first responders each Monday from 5-7 p.m. To learn more about the program, call (850) 744-0040.

Support Spell Restaurant Group's Employees
Spell Restaurant Group (George's at Alys Beach, La Crema Tapas & Chocolate, Grits & Grind, La Cocina and Edward's Fine Food & Wine) have setup a Venmo account (@spellgroup) where donations can be made to support their hourly staff. When donating, put the name of which restaurant you'd like to donate to in the comments.
Granola Sales Support Employees at Blue Mountain Bakery
The team at Blue Mountain Bakery is set to start making their famous granola again after a short break. All sales of their granola will benefit their employees until they are able to re-open. Help the CAA Support Local Artists
The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County announced an Emergency Relief Fund for Artists (ERFA) to address the immediate economic needs of local, professional artists who have experienced loss of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A fundraising campaign has also been launched to ensure that funds are available to meet the demand and need.
