April 6: Shades Bar & Grill 12th Annual Seafood Boil Benefit: 12 p.m.
Shades Bar & Grill is excited to announce their 12th Annual Seafood Boil Benefit on April 6 will benefit Children’s Volunteer Health Network. The all-day event at Shades in Inlet Beach will feature live music from noon-6 p.m. Enjoy boiled crawfish, raw oysters and traditional Jambalaya. April 11-14: Sandestin Wine Festival
Known as the “Kentucky Derby of Wine Festivals,” the Sandestin Wine Festival is held April 11-14 at the Village of Baytowne Wharf. The event gets under way with the Official Kickoff Party in the Village Thursday night. Wine seminars and dinners round out day one of the events. Friday, guests can enjoy an elaborate four-course, Gulf Coast seafood menu paired with premium champagnes aboard the Solaris. Saturday’s Grand Tasting will feature hundreds of domestic and international wines and offers excellent eats from local restaurants with the Savor South Walton experience.

April 12-13: Annual 30A Sand Rover Rally
The 6th Annual 30A Sand rover Rally, presented by Land Rover Gulf Coast, will be held April 12-13 in Santa Rosa Beach for a weekend full of outdoor adventure, live music and more. Every year, over 100 Land Rovers and assorted beach cruiser enthusiasts participate in this family-friendly event that includes thrilling trail rides, live music and more. April 13: Callaghan Live at The REP: 7:30 p.m.
Playing piano and guitar Callaghan offers a stunning voice which earns frequent comparisons with artists like Sarah McLachlan and Emmy Lou Harris. Her songwriting chronicles the stories, experiences and emotions which are part of everyone’s lives. A long-time Shawn Mullins fan, she contacted the Atlanta singer-songwriter online and, after being knocked out by her music, he agreed to produce her debut album, “Life in Full Colour.”

April 17: Ca$h for Comedy Fundraiser at the Emerald Coast Theatre Company: 7 p.m.

This Nashville-based powerhouse duo consists of Pennsylvania bred, music theater geek Steevie Steeves and straight-from-Kentucky, former bassist for punk-rock band, The Pink Spiders, Jon Decious. When they began writing together, TOWNE’s music began taking shape. The power and passions behind their harmonies and lyrics was incomparable to anything they had experienced as musicians.

April 20: Grayt Easter 5k & Easter Egg Hunt at Grayton Beach State Park: 8 a.m.
The inaugural Grayt Easter 5k and Easter Egg Hunt will be taking place at Grayton Beach State Park on Saturday, April 20. Race start is 8 a.m. Both the start and finish line will be within Grayton Beach State Park. An Easter Egg Hunt for all children 8 years and under will be taking place on the beach at 9:30 a.m., or upon conclusion of the awards ceremony.
