South Walton has plenty of fun to keep you busy this winter. From performing arts and wine events romantic Valentine’s Day fun and foodie finds, there’s always something to do. Feb. 2: Super Bowl Watch Party at The HUB: 5:30-10 p.m.

Hang out at The Hub in WaterSound while watching the big game on the 25-foot Jumbotron. Not only will there be food and drink specials, there will be giveaways during halftime.

Feb. 7: ECTC’S Dinner with Booker T: 7 p.m.

On the 16th of October 1901, Booker T. Washington became the first Negro to dine at the White House. Through song and dance, multiple characters are portrayed in this solo show in which Mr. Washington recalls the joys and racial aftermath of this infamous dinner. Written and performed by Broadway artist Darryl Reuben Hall, Dinner with Booker T. is a one-time performance during Emerald Coast Theatre Company's Storyteller Series.

Feb. 9: Champagne & Chocolates: 2-4 p.m.

Join us in Grand Boulevard for a delicious tasting event on Sunday, Feb. 9. Bring your Valentine and taste an array of Champagne and sparkling wine, paired with hand-made chocolates and hors d'oeuvres by Chef Dawn and a selection of artisan cheese.


Tickets are $25 in advance, and $30 day of. This is a limited space event that sells out every year.

Feb. 13: My Furry Valentine: 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Please join Dog Harmony for its annual doggie social, My Furry Valentine, at Grand Park at Grand Boulevard! Show your canine love - and dress in Valentine-themed matching attire - at this dog social featuring live music, light bites from JC's Gourmet and drinks. Judges will award prizes for the best costumed duos! No prong, choke or shock collars, please.

Feb. 14: SunQuest Cruises Valentine’s Dinner Cruise: 7-10 p.m.

What’s a more romantic Valentine’s Day in Destin, Florida than indulging in a chef-prepared meal while cruising into the moonlight on the sparkling waters on a 125-foot yacht? Romance the night away with a special three-course, chef-prepared meal including Smoked Tomato-Basil Bisque, Braised Boneless Short Rib, Pan-Seared Red Snapper, Tuscan-Stuffed Chicken Breast and Red Velvet Cake. Dance the night away to live entertainment or sneak away for a private moment under the stars on the sky deck as the moonbeams ride the tide of the local waters.

Feb. 15: Valentine Tour of Homes: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Valentine’s weekend typically means romantic dinners and flowers for most, but for South Walton residents and visitors alike, it also signals the highly anticipated annual Valentine Tour of Homes. The tour is known for showcasing stunning interiors, architecturally acclaimed homes and picturesque settings bringing inspiration to tour goers’ winter weekend at the beach. Fall in love with some of South Walton’s most interesting homes while raising funds for the CAA’s “Art For All” Program.

Feb. 15: Sandestin Gumbo Festival: 12 p.m.

This winter festival favorite is back for the 31st Annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival. Sample a variety of gumbo and vote your favorite as the “People’s Choice” winner. Celebrity judges will name the “Area’s Best.” Gulf Coast restaurants will be featured along with live music from Dikki Du and the Zydeco Krewe and children’s activities. The Best Bloody Marys at The Beach competition is back! Sponsored by Bombora Vodka, taste some of the finest bars’ and restaurants’ Bloody Marys on the coast and you’re the judge. Vote for your favorite and help them win the title of “Best Bloody Mary at The Beach.” This year’s event is promising to serve up fun for everyone.

Feb. 16: Crescendo! Main Event: 11:30 a.m.

This year's theme is La vie en rosé (life in pink): enter into an elegant setting of rosé-inspired decor and fashion at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. This energy-infused experience will celebrate the cultural and culinary arts by showcasing world-class vintners, expert spirit purveyors, amazing auction items, and an electrifying musical performance by Violectric.

Feb. 19-23: 9th Annual 30A Wine Festival

The 9th annual 30A Wine Festival is a must-experience signature event along 30A that encompasses the vintner’s craft as well as the culinary arts. We all love an eventful and exciting festival weekend, but we all love an event with an even bigger picture.

 

For the past 9 years, the 30A Wine Festival has been a proud supporter of the Children’s Volunteer Health Network, a nonprofit dedicated to providing access to health services for children in Walton and Okaloosa counties. Your attendance is welcomed with a grateful spirit by us and many others as we continue to support a nonprofit dedicated to going above and beyond while giving back to our local community.

Feb. 23: Mardi Gras Parade: 2-4 p.m.

The Village streets will be filled with costumed dogs and their humans along with unique and colorful floats, golf carts, and pickup trucks. Mardi Gras music will fill the air as our four-pawed friends and parade participants shower parade-goers with a barrage of beads, moon pies, and other trinkets.

Feb. 25: Baytowne Mardi Street Pardi: 6-8 p.m.

Prepare to let your hair down on what many call the most festive day of the year, Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. "Laissez les bon temps rouler" (let the good times roll) with the Baytowne Mardi Street Pardi. Starting at 6 p.m. join us for a Village Street party complete with music, street performers, entertainers and more. The post-parade celebration continues into the night with parties at various Baytowne establishments. So break out the beads and get ready for a night to remember.

Feb. 28: Taste of the Race: 6-10 p.m.

Join Chef Emeril Lagasse live and in person and enjoy cuisine from many of the Gulf Coast’s top chefs and restaurants in the beautiful Seaside Lyceum.

Proceeds from your purchase and participation in our annual Taste of the Race event directly supports our culinary program at the Seaside Neighborhood School! Through this opportunity students will have the opportunity to continue to expand their knowledge about food and healthy habits in our very own Seaside Neighborhood School Culinary Garden.

Feb. 29: 11th Annual Caring and Sharing Fashion Show: 12:30 p.m.

Join us February 29th for the 11th Annual Caring and Sharing Fashion Show. The theme this year is Paris in Spring!

Caring & Sharing Volunteers will model items found in the organizations thrift store. Enjoy lunch, a fashion show, a boutique featuring items from the C&S thrift store, a silent auction, and door prizes! Every Saturday bring the family to Topsail Hill Preserve State Park for a fun challenge you can complete together.
