Deer Lake Pedestrian Bridge to Close for Improvements
WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — April 1, 2019— The Deer Lake pedestrian bridge near WaterSound will be closed to the public beginning April 8, 2019 for improvements. The improvements include replacement of the existing 8’ wide wooden frame span with a new 10’ wide, 70-foot-long metal span. The new pedestrian bridge is expected to be reopened by May 24, 2019.
The new span is expected to be delivered to the Deer Lake site on April 26, at which time drivers should expect a lane closure along County Highway 30A as the span is offloaded.
If you have any questions, please contact Josh Ervin, Beach Maintenance Manager for the Walton County TDC at (850) 267-4578.
