On Thursday, Feb. 9 at 11:30 a.m. artist/art advocate Wendy Rodrigue will appear at Bijoux Restaurant + Spirits in Miramar Beach as the guest artist at a special lunch benefitting Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation and its ArtsReach programs. Since 2017, Wendy Rodrigue has made it her mission to share the inspired story of her late husband George Rodrigue, one of Louisiana's most iconic and beloved visual artists, with the world. More profoundly, she has worked to introduce his legacy — along with a passion for the arts to students through her presentations at schools across the United States. It’s a rare opportunity for guests to glimpse the ArtsReach program in action. Tickets are $75 for MKAF members and $95 for not yet members. This unique experience benefits the ongoing partnership between MKAK’s arts community outreach initiatives and Wendy’s Life & Legacy Foundation, engaging students of all ages through storytelling and the arts.
