First Timer's Guide to Sandestin

Sandestin is the beach neighborhood for those who want a little bit of everything: you can have a true resort experience or use it as home base while you explore all that the area offers. If it’s your first time in Sandestin, here’s what you need to know.

Designed with variety in mind, Sandestin lets you choose your experience. If you want to relax on the beach, golf championship courses, spend a day at the spa and eat at award-winning restaurants, you can do that all in one place here.

If you prefer to stay in a cozy private rental, you can do that, too. You’ll still have access to all the amenities of a resort, plus your own space.

The Village of Baytowne Wharf, a sort of town-within-a-town, brings all the charm of South Walton dining and entertainment to one convenient location. With a variety of family friendly activities, from the Baytowne Adventure Zone’s zip line to the iconic Baytowne Carousel, it’s the perfect place to run around with the kids.

Shop at local boutiques for everything from handmade soap to artisan jewelry, and dine on anything you like, from ice cream to prime steaks. Up for some nightlife? Check out the Village Door Nightclub for live music and dancing, or head to one of several beachy bar and grilles for a more low-key experience.

More into watersports, tennis or Pilates? All of that is just steps away – showing that Sandestin is truly a place you can make your own.
