LakeFest 2019

LakeFest 2019 is a 3-day festival hosted by the City of DeFuniak Springs, Florida celebrating safe, family-friendly outdoor recreational activities in the water and on the banks of beautiful Lake DeFuniak. This year’s event begins on Friday, May 17th with a fish-fry, afternoon fishing tournament, outdoor movie, a NIGHTTIME Kayak and Canoe Camping Course and overnight primitive camping for those who sign up for any of the weekend’s paddle sport courses. On Saturday, May 18th activities include live entertainment, numerous food and craft vendors, car show, bouncy houses, inflatable waterslides, exhibits, cardboard boat races, numerous family-friendly activities and a two-hour BEGINNERS Kayak Skills Development Course. On Sunday, May 19th activities include a 6-hour Kayak Skills Development Certification Course for those more serious about paddling and an Adaptive Paddling Clinic for people with physical or developmental disabilities.

Directions/Location Description

Halfway between Pensacola and Tallahassee on I-10. Exit 85 off I-10. Head north on US 331 at end of ramp into DeFuniak Springs. Right onto Live Oak into the Historic District. Follow signs to event.
