South Walton welcomes visitors all year long. No matter when you come, you’ll have plenty to do and see — even during the fall, winter and early spring seasons. Attend one of South Walton’s Signature Events during these times of year and support a good cause. All of the events give back to local organizations and help keep our community members close. January: 30A Songwriters Festival

Description: Watch and listen to more than 175 artists throughout South Walton as they play award-winning hits and original songs. The 30A Songwriters Festival has brought in top songwriters from around the world for more than eight years.

Supports: The 30A Songwriters Festival benefits the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County, which is a local organization supporting the arts through leadership, advocacy, funding, programs and education.

February: Wine Women & Shoes

Month: February

Description: Sip, shop and see South Walton in style during this fun weekend event. Wine Women & Shoes features vintner dinners, live entertainment, fashion shows and shopping.

Supports: Wine Women & Shoes benefits Sinfonia Gulf Coast, a music education fund. Proceeds from the event will help support the organization’s youth orchestras, concerts and partnerships.

March: Seaside School Half Marathon

Description: Enjoy a weekend full of food, fitness and fun during the Seaside School Half Marathon and 5k. Events begin with samples from top chefs at the Taste of the Race event on Friday and end with post-finish line festivities on Sunday.

Supports: Race profits benefit The Seaside School, which is a tuition-free school serving students across Walton County.

March: 30A Wine Festival at Alys Beach

Description: Sip wines, bourbons and spirits while sampling dishes from South Walton’s top chefs at this Alys Beach event. The 30A Wine Festival includes everything from a bourbon, beer and barbecue tasting session to a fine wine seminar and croquet match.

Supports: The 30A Wine Festival benefits the Children’s Volunteer Health Network, a nonprofit dedicated to providing access to health services for children in Walton and Okaloosa counties.

April: Sandestin Wine Festival

Month: April

Description: Head to the Sandestin Wine Festival to experience hundreds of wines, meet winemakers and sample blends from around the world. Enjoy food, entertainment and informational sessions during the three-day event.

Supports: The Sandestin Wine Festival benefits the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, which provides a home for military families when a family member is undergoing medical treatment. Proceeds also benefit the Sandestin Foundation for Kids.

April: South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival

Description: Choose from more than 800 wines from around the world, meet celebrity winemakers and sample food from local chefs at this premier wine and food event. The South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival also features VIP tastings, a charity wine auction and craft beer and spirits presentations.

Supports: The South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival is part of the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, which supports more than ten local and regional charities.

May: Art Week South Walton

Description: See the work of more than 130 artists from around the world, listen to live music, participate in art workshops and enjoy live entertainment during Art Week. From fine arts shows to the acclaimed Digital Graffiti event, Art Week celebrates all forms of creativity in our beach neighborhoods.

May: Digital Graffiti
