Mouthwatering Crab Cakes At Picolo’s And The Red Bar
This Grayton Beach standby offers some of the tastiest crab cakes on the Gulf. Think fresh, flavorful lump crabmeat grilled to perfection and crowned with a tangy citrus beurre blanc. But here’s the catch: locals know these crab cakes are usually on the dinner menu at The Red Bar on Friday and Saturday nights. Other sensational stops for seafood include Smiling Fish Café and Gravel Road.
Kayaking South Walton’s Rare Dune Lakes
South Walton has the world’s highest concentration of coastal dune lakes, offering breathtakingly beautiful flora and fauna. Rent a kayak and glide across one of the area’s 15 natural lakes, where you can spot an osprey in flight or fish darting through the brackish waters. Continue your outdoor adventures by trading in your paddle for pedals to cruise South Walton’s scenic bike paths, including 19-mile Timpoochee Trail along Scenic Highway 30A. Or, grab a rod and reel and angle for some fun at Grayton Beach State Park.
Hand-Blown Treasures From Fusion Art Glass
Illuminate your vacation with sparkling glass bobbles from Fusion Art Glass Gallery, located in Seaside and Grand Boulevard in Sandestin. The stunning pendants, earrings, bracelets and rings are all handmade by skilled glass artisans.
