South Walton Sounds

South Walton is rich with many natural resources and we are further blessed that talented people add “soundtracks” to our wonderful lifestyle. We invite you to enjoy this beachside playlist that includes music from local talent you can see during your next visit. Be sure to listen and download the South Walton soundtrack "This is the Place" by written and performed by Susanna Hoffs of the Bangles.

Bryan Kennedy Knows Beach (& Garth)

Mr. Kennedy is very talented songwriter, singer and musician as well as beach evangelist.  His resume includes mega hits with Garth Brooks but we like his local performances and passion for this place even more.  Bryan perfectly conveys the coastal spirit and family love that so many feel when in South Walton.  Take a moment and enjoy his own music video of Grain of Sand and watch for him at the Seaside REP Theatre or other local performance venues.  If Garth tours again and wants Bryan, the locals might loan him back for a short while if he promises beach time will be prioritized.

South Walton “Soundtrack” by Susanna Hoffs

“Sand and turquoise water forever” is how visitors often describe the destination’s 26 miles of pristine beach nestled along Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast. And now that sentiment has been put to music. The song, titled This is the Place, is courtesy of internationally renowned singer/songwriter Susanna Hoffs of the Bangles! Susanna Hoffs traveled to South Walton for the 30A Songwriters Festival, where she also performed the song live.
