Miramar Beach

Remember the beach towns of your childhood? The scenic beach road, the surf shops, the fabulous restaurants, the beachfront homes with big back decks and beachside resorts and condos with panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico? Miramar Beach brings back the feel of those classic coastal enclaves, complete with a beachfront camping and RV park.

But while Miramar has that nostalgic beach feel, it also has ultra-modern amenities and activities that are ideal for family fun, including jet skis, parasailing, and endless shopping opportunities at the nation’s largest designer outlet center, the Silver Sands Factory Stores.

Scenic Gulf Drive
Remember driving along the beach as a kid? You can still do that on Scenic Gulf Drive. Back in the 1980s, Highway 98 was moved inland and widened to four-lanes, leaving this bit of “old Florida” coast road as a scenic detour. Enjoy a leisurely drive with breathtaking views of the beach and the Gulf of Mexico.

Cultivate Your Game
What’s a visit to the beach without a game of mini golf, or maxi golf for that matter. Want to play at night? No problem. At the Golf Garden, you can grow your game at the 9-hole executive course, the 18-hole putting course, or the 10-acre driving range day or night at South Walton’s only lighted golf course.
