VSW SAYS GOODBYE TO WATKINS

Posted by Gayla Schaefer: December 15, 2016

After two decades of public service to the Walton County Tourist Development Council (TDC), Pamela Watkins, a true Walton County tourism pioneer, is retiring this week from her role as Director of Sales, Events and Visitor Services.

During her tenure, Watkins promoted the tourism industry as South Walton grew into a true destination for group business. She oversaw Sales Department growth to meet the developing demand. She also planned and hosted countless events for local professionals and visiting planners in between her travels across the United States to travel and adventure shows and sales missions.

Serving as the unofficial historian for the TDC, Watkins amassed an impressive collection of memorabilia. Some of her pictures and collateral collection were featured at the TDC's 30th Anniversary Annual Meeting in October.

As she leaves for Colorado to be closer to her children, we hope you will join with us in thanking her for her service and wishing her well on her new journey!
