JOB SUMMARY: The Community Relations Specialist will plan, develop and implement community-based Tourist Development Council (TDC) programs while promoting a positive image of the organization to the residents of Walton County, FL. The Specialist will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing and facilitating the implementation of projects that demonstrate Visit South Walton’s commitment to be a valued neighbor in the community that we serve. To be successful, the Specialist must have the ability to work successfully with various communities, organizations and neighborhoods.

FLSA Status: Exempt Pay Grade: 19 Salary Range: $60,527, minimum to $85,000, maximum, depending on qualifications
JOB SUMMARY: Visit South Walton, Florida is now accepting applications for the newly created position of Director of Communications. The Director serves as a senior-level communications professional responsible for developing a Strategic Communications Plan for public relations and media activities that support the overall mission of Visit South Walton (VSW). As chief storyteller, the Director will embrace the VSW brand and create experiential stories that resonate with local, regional, and national target audiences. This position reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the Tourist Development Council (TDC), TDC Committees, internal departments and community stakeholders to secure positive earned media coverage in consumer and travel media.
