Grayton Beach State Park

Visitors to Grayton Beach Park enjoy a variety of outdoor pursuits such as canoeing, kayaking, and boating on the 100-acre Western Lake. Other recreational activities include swimming, freshwater and saltwater fishing, birding, wildlife watching, and hiking and biking along a four-mile nature trail. Among the wildlife that may be spotted are shorebirds and nesting sea turtles.

The 2,228-acre Grayton Beach State Park also offers RV and tent camping as well as 30 cabins that can accommodate up to six people. Other amenities include a boat ramp, picnic pavilion and public showers. Pets are banned from the beach. However, they are permitted within certain areas of the park if they remain on leashes no longer than six feet.

Grayton Beach State Park opened in 1968. It is one of four Walton County stops on the Great Florida Birding Trail.

Hours of Operation

The park is open from 8 AM until sundown, 365 days a year.

Admission

Entrance fee for vehicles is $5 and $2 for pedestrians, bicyclists and extra passengers.
A fishing license may be required.
